There are no obscure accounting terms, unusual month-end operations or useless 'Executive Toy' reports. Visual Accounts is the simplest, most efficient and obvious way to run your business. With this release Visual Accounts also becomes Millennium compliant.

In Visual Accounts you create transactions which record your day to day financial activities. These transactions are very simple and are as follows:

Payments: money leaving your business, for instance to pay your suppliers
Receipts: money flowing into your business, for instance when you sell products
Transfers: money moving between your various bank accounts but staying within the business

If you issue invoices, or buy supplies on credit, you will also need

Invoices: money owed to your company
Bills: money you owe to other companies

Using these transaction types you can accurately reflect your financial position. For ease of use and speed of operation, you can define any number of codes to indicate VAT rates, customers and so on.

The system has a full set of reporting tools. These have been designed by and for small business users with the express intention of reducing to an absolute minimum the amount of time you have to spend on your accounts. The goal of Visual accounts is to free you to spend more time where it matters most - running your business.

Visual Accounts can also be used for Personal Finances, though you may find a lot of the business features (e.g. VAT codes) superfluous to your needs. You can safely ignore any of the features that are not relevant to you, for instance if you deal with cash payments only, you can completely ignore invoices and bills.
